BYU’s upcoming nonconference schedule continues to take shape.
The Cougars are “finalizing an agreement” for a matchup with Big Ten foe Northwestern, according to a Friday report from Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
While the two sides have yet to determine a date for the game, it will be played at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
Northwestern finished 15-19 (5-15) this past season, with former Cougars guard Aleksej Kostic recently joining the Wildcats out of the transfer portal.
Once the agreement with Northwestern is finalized, the Cougars will have two Delta Center games scheduled for this fall, as Ohio State is making the trip to play BYU for the regular season opener on Nov. 2.
BYU now has 12 nonconference games officially or reportedly announced, with room for two more contests remaining on the schedule, according to Robby McCombs of Vanquish the Foe.
