For a brief moment in a long summer, NHL fans have new hockey content to consume: schedule release videos.

All 32 teams released them, though Utah Mammoth and Florida Panthers fans have to go to Instagram to find them, rather than X.

Here are the eight funniest videos, in order.

Key dates in 2026-27 for Utah Mammoth fans

8. Montreal Canadiens

To promote the new 84-game schedule, the league’s oldest team went back to the last time it played 84 games in a season: 1992-93. That also happens to be the last time the Canadiens won the Stanley Cup.

Canadiens forward Jake Evans fooled his teammates.

7. Philadelphia Flyers

True to his personality, Philadelphia Flyers mascot made an absolute mess. “Jack Hughes’ teeth” is an all-timer.

6. Columbus Blue Jackets

The Columbus Blue Jackets join the long list of companies using “Toy Story” in its commercials this summer — but nobody else’s ads included a cameo from all-time Blue Jackets great Rick Nash.

5. Dallas Stars

A lot of teams threw shots at others in these videos. The Dallas Stars weren’t as savage as, say, the Anaheim Ducks, but they were pretty clever. Plus, they modeled the video after the one commercial that people don’t mute when it comes on the TV.

4. New Jersey Devils

To refrain from spoiling the ending, we’ll just tell you to watch this one all the way through.

3. Nashville Predators

The Nashville Predators changed their profile photo across all social media channels to a shot from their schedule release video. That’s how iconic it is.

2. Anaheim Ducks

Nothing was off-limits for the Anaheim Ducks’ social media admins: infamous quotes, playoff flops, relocation — and even what seemed to be a subtle jab at the Vegas Golden Knights’ signing of Carter Hart.

1. Buffalo Sabres

If there’s one thing Buffalonians do well, it’s celebrating their sports teams. After the Buffalo Sabres ended their 14-year playoff drought this spring, they took all their pent-up excitement out on a punching dummy named Bob.

In their schedule release video, the Sabres social media team shared what Bob’s life is like in the offseason. Suffice it to say that he’s ready for hockey to be back.
