The 2026 high school girls volleyball season gets underway next week for teams in Class 3A and throughout the state. To prepare fans for the upcoming season, the Deseret News has compiled capsules for every team in 3A. Every school was invited to participate and submit information.
The region rankings are based on coaches’ preseason projections.
There are three new girls volleyball coaches in 3A this year: Mele Fiefia (Layton Christian), Cherelle Manzanares (Emery) and Brittani Barton (Richfield).
Here are the 3A teams and players to watch this upcoming season.
Region 12
1. Morgan Trojans
Head coach: Liz Wiscombe (47th year).

Coach comment: As we head into this season, there’s a lot of excitement surrounding our program. This is my first year as head coach, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to lead such an incredible group of athletes. While we are a young team, our players have already shown a tremendous work ethic, determination, and a willingness to learn.
We’re excited to see this teams growth throughout the season and look forward to the support of our community as we begin this new chapter together.

Coach comment: We have a massive group of returning players who already know the goals of our system, our expectations, and the continued direction we want within our culture. Our seniors chosen this theme because they know talent alone doesn’t win championships — unity does.
We are operating as one cohesive unit, lifting each other up like one family, entirely locked into one singular goal, chasing one ultimate dream. The selfless we over me mindset and attitude.
