Cam Skattebo and Jaxson Dart have developed quite the friendship since entering the NFL as rookies together with the New York Giants in 2025.
On Sunday, Skattebo even paid homage to Dart’s Utah high school days ahead of New York’s season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
The second-year running back showed up to MetLife Stadium ahead of the Sunday primetime contest wearing Dart’s high school jersey, when he played for Corner Canyon High.
It was a moment that had social media talking.
Dart, who was born in Kaysville, also played at Roy High before his college career took him to USC for one season and then to Ole Miss, before the Utah native ended up a first-round draft pick last season.
It was a successful night for both offensive playmakers, as the Giants beat the Cowboys 28-20 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Dart completed 23 of 29 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 54 rushing yards on 11 carries.
Skattebo, who was making his regular-season return after having his rookie season cut short because of a fractured right leg, ended up running for 81 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.
Skattebo’s 3-yard touchdown in the first quarter got the scoring started, and Dart added a touchdown pass in each of the second, third and fourth quarters to give New York the win.
His favorite target was tight end Isaiah Likely, who had eight receptions for 78 yards and two touchdowns.
