Lori Vallow Daybell has received a new hearing for bail reduction.

What’s going on:

Daybell — who is currently being held in Madison County, Idaho, on $1 million bail — is charged with desertion and nonsupport.

Daybell has filed court documents this week with her defense asking for more bail reduction. Now, according to EastIdahoNews.com, the reduction hearing is scheduled for April 17.

But it could face a snag, according to EastIdahoNews.com.

“Courthouses in Idaho are currently operating at reduced levels due to a Supreme Court order in relation to COVID-19. Only limited hearings are being held and public access is extremely limited. The order expires April 15, two days before Daybell’s hearing, but could be extended if Gov. Brad Little alters his stay-home order.”

What happened earlier this week

  • Vallow Daybell’s attorney asked for a new documents earlier this week, including all autopsy reports for Tammy DaybellCharles Vallow and others, as I wrote for the Deseret News.
  • Vallow Daybell also called for a $1 million bail reduction, too. Her bond had already been reduced from $5 million to $1 million about a month ago after she was first sent to jail. Vallow Daybell was extradited from Hawaii to Idaho earlier this year.
