Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders got the meme treatment Wednesday morning after his appearance at President Joe Biden’s inauguration.

  • Sanders was caught on camera wearing a thick pair of mittens, a coat and a face mask. He was seen huddled close to his own body, shielding himself from the cold winter weather.
  • Instantly, Twitter turned Sanders into a meme, cracking jokes about his appearance at the U.S. Capitol.

Sanders originally ran for president in the Democratic primary. He was rather competitive with Biden up until the end of the race when Biden earned enough delegates to take the nomination.
