Utah saw some snow over the weekend (although definitely less than anticipated). But Malibu saw a little bit, too. Yeah, Malibu, California. And it might happen again.
What happened
Snowfall blanketed the Grand Canyon and Malibu, Calif., over the weekend, bringing snow to places that you usually picture as summer-esque environments, according to USA Today.
What’s next?
Snow is only going to continue to fall, too. The National Weather Service said that two storm systems will hit half the country with snow and rain throughout this week.
- One foot of snow could fall in the Sierra Nevada mountains, too.
- A foot of snow might hit higher elevations in Southern California, too, according to USA Today. The same storm will cover Arizona and Colorado.

With the first major storm of the season, it’s looking a lot like winter in #Malibu today. Lost Hills Sheriff Department is warning residents to stay safe & slow down on the roads after a car rolled over in Malibu Canyon, according to @LHSLASD.
