ABC has released a new preview video before its “20/20” special about the Lori Vallow Daybell case.
The preview has a clip of April Raymond, a friend of Lori Vallow, who spoke with ABC about how Lori Vallow became a “superfan” of Chad Daybell and the doomsday ideology.
- “So Lori had always been a fan of Chad’s books,” she said.
- Lori Vallow would talk about Chad Daybell’s work often and promote the idea that he wrote about, Raymond said.
- “I would describe her as a superfan,” Raymond said.
Raymond said Lori Vallow also had a fascination with the idea of death, too.
You can watch a preview of the episode on ABC.

ABC’s “20/20” will air a new special episode about the Lori Vallow case, which will review the mysterious details of the case.
- “The special dives into her broken marriages, ex-spouses’ deaths and the actions she allegedly took that put her at the center of a horrific tragedy. It also reports on (Chad) Daybell’s books on the end of times, as well as the new beliefs friends say Vallow adopted, including referring to her children as zombies,” according to a press release, as I wrote for the Deseret News.
