HEBER CITY — A historic covered wagon that graced the entrance to the Heber Valley Chamber and Visitor Center was demolished in a rollover accident early Saturday morning, according to police.

Heber City Police Chief Dave Booth said Wasatch County medical personnel were responding to an early morning fire when they spotted spotted the accident at 475 N. Main. Heber police and the Utah Highway Patrol both responded to the incident and discovered the wagon, and a sign at the building, were badly damaged in a single-vehicle rollover.

Police said the incident is under investigation as a possible DUI. The condition of the driver is unknown at this time.

Booth reported the accident caused between $50,000 to $70,000 in damage to the wagon and signage.
