“The Real Housewives” franchise is headed to Salt Lake City. And that only means one thing: time for some new couple pet names.

The report: A new report from The Black Tux identified the most popular couple “pet name” in the Beehive State (and every other state for that matter).

Method: The report surveyed 100 couples from each state, asking them which pet name they use most often in their relationship. The report then broke down the responses into categories, including state, region, gender and generation.

Most popular: It’s not really surprising, but the most popular “pet name” in 41 out of 50 states includes “babe/baby.” The term “babe” topped the list in Utah.

  • “Basically the same word, both cute, and apparently almost universal. In fact, baby emerged as a slang term in the 1920s and has stayed pretty much ubiquitous as a pet name ever since. Because nothing says I love you like addressing your significant other as less than a toddler,” according to The Black Tux.

Yes, but: Utah had a slight difference for its second most popular “pet name.” While “honey” dominated most states, Utah’s second-most popular name was “dear,” which was the same in Wyoming, North Dakota, Kansas, New York, Virginia and New Hampshire.
