Utah experienced it first snowfall of the season.
The National Weather Service for Salt Lake City tweeted Tuesday that snow fell in areas above 10,000 feet, specifically in Bald Mountain Pass in the Unita Mountains.
“It begins. Showers this morning have brought some light snow to some areas above 10,000 feet, including Bald Mountain Pass in the Uinta Mountains,” according to NWS Salt Lake City.
KSL 5 TV shared two photos of the snowfall, courtesy of the Utah Department of Transportation.
“Someone tell the weather in Bald Mountain Pass in Duchesne County that it’s STILL SUMMER! ❄️ That’s right. It’s snowing RIGHT NOW on state Route 150! Guess we’ll just skip autumn?” KSL wrote on Facebook.
Last year, photos of early snowfall in Utah appeared online in October. Several of the photos were snapped at Bald Mountain Pass, Ski Eagle Point and Brian Head Resort, according to the Deseret News.
