WENDOVER — A man was critically injured Sunday afternoon when he crashed during a race at the World of Speed event at the Bonneville Salt Flats, police said.
The man was traveling over 350 mph in an aeronautical, or low-friction vehicle, when he crashed on the Salt Flats Race Track, said Wendover police officer Nic Francis.
Francis believes the man was flown to the University Hospital in critical condition.
