EMERY — A woman was killed in a head-on collision with a semitractor-trailer early Wednesday in Emery County.

About 2:30 a.m., a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer was northbound on state Route 10 just outside of the town of Emery when it crossed over the center line for an unknown reason and collided with a Kenworth truck, according to a statement from the Utah Highway Patrol.

A woman driving the Trailblazer died of her injuries. Her identity was not immediately released. A man driving the semi received minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene, according to the UHP.
