PROVO — A Provo man was arrested Monday after police say he refused to wear a mask inside a store and then refused to leave.

The man was at the bank counter inside a Smith’s store in Provo when the bank manager asked him to wear a mask. The man refused and started arguing with the bank manager and then “started talking to customers, questioning them as to why they were wearing masks,” according to a police affidavit.

The bank manager said the man was “causing a scene,” was asked five times to leave and continued to argue with customers, according to the affidavit. Police were called to remove the man from the store.
