SALT LAKE CITY — A 24-year-old Holladay man who police say engaged in sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl has been arrested.

Raymond Alexander Jones was charged Wednesday in 3rd District Court with unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a third-degree felony. A $250,000 warrant was issued for his arrest.

According to charging documents, Jones met his victim on Snapchat and the two agreed to meet. Jones picked up the girl and took her to his house where they smoked marijuana and then engaged in sex, the charges state.

He then gave the girl “a clear bottle with a clear substance,” which she drank, “and a short time later, she felt out of it,” according to charging documents. Jones then carried the girl into a bedroom where “he kept doing it,” she later told investigators.

In May 2018, Jones took a plea in abeyance, pleading guilty to burglary and assault. He was placed on probation and his guilty plea would be held in abeyance for 36 months and pending his completion of drug court, according to court records.

However, he violated his probation multiple times and served various stints in jail over the next year and a half, court records state. He was still on probation at the time of his current offense.
