WEST VALLEY CITY — A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the weekend shooting death of another man over the weekend.

The boy, whose name was not immediately released, was arrested for investigation of murder. West Valley police credited the Metro Gang Unit and the U.S Marshals Violent Fugitive Apprehension Team for assisting in the arrest.

About 6:10 p.m. Saturday, two groups met at Kings Pointe Park, 1330 W. Rothchild Drive (3665 South), to settle an undisclosed conflict, said West Valley police spokeswoman Roxeanne Vainuku.

At some point during the confrontation, Lewis Orlando Jensen, 18, was shot and killed.

A 16-year-old boy was also arrested Monday for investigation of rioting, Vainuku said.

Another man was also arrested Tuesday night in connection with the case, according to a police affidavit.

Pablo Andres Dominguez, 27, was arrested for investigation of obstruction of justice.

According to a police affidavit, the 17-year-old boy had been staying at Dominguez’s apartment and “a vehicle involved in the crime had been brought here and repainted.”

Although Dominguez denied being involved or seeing the teen, police found remnants of the paint cans used to change the color of the vehicle, the affidavit states.
