PROVO — Utah County residents have to wait another year to get their funnel cake fix. Utah County commissioners announced Wednesday that the Utah County Fair will be postponed until 2021, a day after Provo’s Freedom Festival announced its own postponement of the Fourth of July summer event in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Our inability to plan for large events, along with uncertain revenue projections in our (Tourism, Recreation, Culture & Convention) funding, have forced us to make this difficult decision,” according to a press release signed by Utah County commissioners Tanner Ainge, Nathan Ivie and Bill Lee.
