LOGAN — New criminal charges were filed Monday against a Logan man accused of inappropriately touching women while given them massages.

Freddy Anthony Perales, 58, is charged in 1st District Court with object rape, a first-degree felony, and forcible sex abuse, a second-degree felony.

Perales has now been charged in five separate cases since June 24 with a total of four counts of object rape, a first-degree felony, and eight counts forcible sex abuse, a second-degree felony.

The assaults date back to 2016, according to court records. The new charges allege a woman was assaulted on Dec. 24, 2018.

Perales was first charged earlier this year after a woman claimed that on May 29 she went to Perales’ home where he told the woman he was going to give her an “energy massage” and sexually assaulted her, the charges state.

Since then, four other women have stepped forward saying they were also assaulted while receiving a massage from Perales.

According to a police affidavit in connection with the latest victim, she told investigators that she was first assaulted in 2003 or 2004. During a later appointment in 2018, Perales told the woman that he “could help with her marriage ... by clearing her sexual energy,” the affidavit states.

During the ensuing massage, Perales is accused of inappropriately touching the woman.

The affidavit also notes that during a previous arrest, Perales had warned that “a handful of other victims might come forward.”

He was rebooked into the Cache County Jail on Friday.

“Prior to the last arrest, he was ordered to have submitted to GPS tracking as previously required by magistrate release. Freddy Perales had not established the GPS tracking at the time of that arrest,” the affidavit says.
