Emma Wadsworth and Sara Nybo work on their chalk art of actor Chadwick Boseman during the fourth year of Chalk the Walk in West Jordan on Saturday. The Salt Lake County Library welcomed chalk artists and their fans to participate in the library’s first in-person event since COVID-19 measures went into effect in March, and the artists spent much of the day bringing life to the sidewalks surrounding the Library’s Viridian Event Center. Fans will be able to vote for their favorite creations, including online, and winners will be announced Monday. “Our events have such a positive impact on the Salt Lake County community, and we’re extremely excited to have everyone back at the Viridian Event Center for Chalk the Walk,” said Viridian Event Coordinator Tayler Allen. “We know people will be thrilled to get outside and view the fantastic images the sidewalk artists create.”
