SOUTH SALT LAKE — One woman is dead following an early morning auto-pedestrian accident Sunday in South Salt Lake.

South Salt Lake Police public information officer Danielle Croyle said a vehicle traveling southbound on 900 West struck a woman who was also southbound, on foot, on or near the roadway around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Croyle said Lark Anderson, 47, died at the scene from injuries she suffered in the accident. The driver of the vehicle, who has not yet been identified, is cooperating with police and has not been cited or arrested, Croyle said.

Police report the driver of the vehicle was not injured and the investigation is ongoing. Speed, Croyle said, does not appear to be a factor in the incident.
