BEAVER — A California woman died Friday after crashing on the freeway in Beaver.

About 5:22 p.m., a Honda vehicle was driving west on 300 North in Beaver “at a high rate of speed,” the Utah Highway Patrol said in a statement.

“The Honda failed to at stop at the T intersection east of I-15. The Honda blew through the fence, up the hill and onto northbound I-15,” troopers said.

A northbound van then collided with the Honda, killing its driver. Her name has not yet been released. Troopers described her as a California woman in her late 20s.

The occupants of the van were taken to Beaver Valley Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, according to the UHP.
