WELLINGTON, Carbon County — Wellington Police Chief Rory Bradley has been placed on administrative leave, the Wellington City Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.
In a brief prepared statement, the city attorney’s office said Bradley was on paid leave “pending the process of a personnel action.”
The statement does not say why or when he was placed on leave. An investigation is being conducted and during the next City Council meeting on March 25, “a motion will be made and a vote will be taken about his future with Wellington City. Until that time no other information regarding this matter will be available,” according to the statement.
Bradley has been chief since 2018. In 2019 he was recognized by the Utah Department of Public Safety for his efforts in rescuing victims trapped inside a Mexican restaurant after a semi plowed into the building.
