Recreation therapists at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Salt Lake City brought the farm to its patients for a “fun on the farm” play group adapted for children with limb differences.

The activity include a petting zoo with baby farm animals, tractor rides and farm-themed games. The hospital has organized several play groups adapted for children of all abilities, including the limb differences group.

The groups have been meeting safely throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, providing an essential social and emotional resource for patients during a challenging time.
