SALT LAKE CITY — One person died on Sunday after the Salt Lake City Police Department confirmed a shooting happened at Liberty Park.

The police department said one person was in custody in relation to the shooting.

“It appears the two were involved in an argument prior to the shooting,” the department said on X.

The incident was still under investigation.
