Purdue University football coach Jim Colletto named five assistant coaches Friday, just a day after he was appointed to his post.

Colletto, who replaced Fred Akers, named Pat Henderson, Pete Hoener, Brock Spack, Tony Caviglia and Dino Barbers as assistants. He said conditioning coordinator Russ Riederer would remain in his post.Colletto said he hopes to complete his staff soon by adding four more coaches.
