A shallow ditch on I-70 near Green River, Emery County, was the final resting place for Vikki Lynn Perkins.
She had been on the streets of Portland for some time, hitchhiking from place to place until she caught her last ride sometime late last winter. Her body was discovered May 14, 1989, by a motorist on I-70. Investigators believe she was killed about three months before she was found.Evidence indicates her death was the work of a serial killer, and law enforcement wants to stop him before he does it again.
Perkins was a 19-year-old white female with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and was known to wear tight fitting pants, tube tops and a large amount of jewelry.
