A Maryland educator has been named interim headmaster of the private Rowland Hall-St. Mark's School.

Alexander A. Uhle, who most recently completed a one-year internship with Garrison Forest School, Baltimore, will succeed A. Thomas Jackson, who will leave for an Atlanta position July 1. He has headed the school for nine years.A search committee is looking for a permanent replacement.

Uhle has served as admissions director of the Kent School, Connecticut; headmaster of Foxcroft School, Virginia; and Greenwich Academy, Ct.
