South Korea's Moon Sung-kil defended his World Boxing Council super flyweight crown Saturday with a fifth-round knockout of Ernesto Ford of Panama.

Moon dropped Ford with a minute remaining in the fifth round. The challenger rose at the count of eight but went down again and was counted out at 2:35 of the round.Moon, 29, made the fourth defense of the title he won in January of 1990, and improved to 15-1. Ford, 27, fell to 21-1.
