Janice Renee Hunter Mackie, passed away Friday, September 20, 1991, at her home in Salt Lake City, following a long illness.
Born March 19, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Walter and Verna Hunter. Married Dee Justesen; later divorced. Married LaVere Mackie; later divorced. Member of the LDS Church. Worked at Crossroads Plaza Mall for eight years as Information Desk Supervisor.Renee possessed both physical and spiritual beauty, who loved life and made the most of it, never losing faith and hope even at the very end. She always placed her children and grandson first and was never too busy to lend a concerned ear to her numerous friends.
She was an example to every life she touched in her courageous battle and physical
endurance.
She was preceded in death by her father. Survived by her three children; son, Lance and his fiancee, Diana Teuscher; two daughters, Julie Ng and Mrs. Lee (Jan) Maw; grandson, Tony Ng; mother, Verna Hunter; stepmother, Judy Hunter; two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Wylene) Fotheringham and Mrs. Phil (Ann) Vanelli; four brothers, Walton (and June) Hunter, Richard (and Donna) Hunter, David (and Jeanette) Hunter and Bud Whitehead; cousin, Mrs. Richard (and Marlene) Oliver; and her faithful little companion, "Chevette"; along with a host of other family members and cherished friends, who will feel a void in their hearts from her absence.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 24, 1 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East, where friends may call for one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
