UCLA has lost another quarterback, at least temporarily.
Bruins coach Terry Donahue said Monday that true freshman Ryan Fien, who played most of the last two games at the position, has an injured right hip and won't play Saturday at California."The starting quarterback will be John Barnes," Donahue said Monday. "Rob Walker is still very limited in his movement. I do think he'll play a week from now, I don't think he'll play this week.
"We'll go with John Barnes. Scott Fitterer will be his backup."
Walker, a redshirt freshman, became UCLA's starting quarterback when Wayne Cook sustained a season-ending knee injury in the first game of the year. Walker has missed the last two games because of a sprained ankle.
Donahue admitted he's experiencing one of his toughest periods in 17 years as UCLA's head coach.
