Students at Billy Ray Cyrus' alma mater sang his song "Achy Breaky Heart" with him when he returned to tape a television show.
Cyrus, a 1979 graduate of Russell High School in Flatwoods, Ky., spent Monday and Tuesday in the area to tape scenes for an ABC special to air in mid-February, said his attorney, Bruce Leslie of Flatwoods. The coach of Russell's 1978 football team, Ivan McGlone, presented Cyrus with a Russell jersey bearing No. 46, the number he wore as a Red Devil player. The team won the state championship in its division that year.
The singer gave students his formula for success: "Decide clearly what you want, decide what the price is and if you're willing to pay it. . . . Then vow to never say die, stop or quit. No matter what, keep going, even if you have a flat tire."
