Maureen Clark, 69, died April 12, 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah of respiratory failure after a major heart attack, followed closely by a stroke in early February.

She was born in Galbally, Ireland to Thomas and Katherine Connolly Hoare on July 31, 1922. At about the age of 16, she immigrated to England to get work and send back what she could to her widowed mother. On December 10, 1945 she married Farrell L. Clark in Luton, England. She then came to Salt Lake City, and helped a brother and two sisters to come to this country.Her family includes sons and daughters, Pat and Mary Clark; Catherine Clark Knoch, Mike Clark, all of Salt Lake City; Jacqueline and Daryl Barnes, Layton; and Elaine and J. P. Estes, Flagstaff, Ariz.; her brothers and sisters are, Brigid Draper, Pomona, Calif.; Jane and Ed Peterson, Salt Lake City; Eddie Hoare, Leamington Spa, England; Eileen and Packie Ferren, Malin, Ireland. She was very fond of her uncle John Connolly, of Bally, Landers, Ireland. She was grandmother to eight fine boys.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 15, 9:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1040 West 400 South. Vigil service will be held Tuesday, 7 p.m., at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 1st South, where friends may call Tuesday 6-7 p.m. Committal Service, Mount Calvary Cemetery, 4th Ave and T Street.
