Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today for Walter Grant Mann, 86, former Box Elder County attorney for three terms, who died April 27, 1992, in Brigham City Community Hospital.
The services will be in the Brigham City 13th Ward chapel, 25 N. 300 East. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Olsen-Myers Mortuary in Brigham City. Burial will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.Mr. Mann, who was born March 18, 1906, in Logan, was a national director of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and recipient of Brigham City's Distinguished Service Award.
He was president of the Brigham City Chamber of Commerce and in 1980 received its Total Citizen Award. He also was president of the Brigham City Rotary Club and from 1949 to 1950 headed the Utah State Bar. Mr. Mann was named Lawyer of the Year for 1980 by the Utah State Bar Association.
He was a member of the Utah State Land Board, Oil and Gas Commission, was Utah attorney for Thiokol Corp., was attorney for the Box Elder County Board of Education from 1937 to 1992, owned a half interest in the former Cooley Hospital and was an announcer of the Peach Days Parade for many years.
In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he had been a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Brigham City 3rd Ward bishopric.
