Actor George Peppard had a malignant tumor removed from his right lung that was previously believed to be benign, a spokeswoman says. The 63-year-old former star of "The A-Team" underwent surgery Monday in Los Angeles and got a clean bill of health, Cheryl J. Kagan said. The tumor was discovered in February on X-rays taken when Peppard came down with gastritis. At the time, he said a biopsy showed the tumor was benign, but he vowed to quit his two-pack-a-day smoking habit.
