Ira Melton Addison passed away December 17, 1993 in West Valley City.
He was born April 19, 1925 in Gladwater, Texas to William Melt and Lottie Avis Martson Addison. He married Irabelle Slater; later divorced. He married Carolyn Terry August 29, 1963 in Reno, Nevada.He was a member of the LDS Church. He worked for Quality Linen for 20 years. He was a World War II veteran, and served in the Navy for 12 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a friend to everyone and a special father, grandfather and husband.
He is survived by his wife; seven children: Terry (Gigi) Addison, West Valley; Gary (Mary) Addison, West Valley; Kirk (Barbara) Anderson, San Antonio, Texas; James Addison, Sacramento, Calif.; Cathy Anderson Hedge, West Valley; Suzanne Addison, Salt Lake; Mrs. Lincoln (Linda) Lum, Pleasant Hill, Calif.; stepchildren, Reed, Connie, Judy, all of Calif.; mother, Lottie Addison; 13 grandchildren; four brothers, Ben Addison, Wyoming; Rupert Addison, Louisiana; John Addison, Oregon; Ray Addison, Texas; two sisters, Pat Montgomery, Texas; Lottie Nell Williams, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Ray.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 22, 1993, 12 noon in the Hunter 5th Ward, 5000 West Janette Avenue (3980 South). Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, and Wednesday, 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the ward. Interment, Valley View Cemetery.
