Tom Selleck and Ed Asner dished up a feast with other celebrities at an annual Christ-mas Eve lun-cheon for the poor. "If people could see the lines circling around the block, they'd understand how many hungry people there are out there," Asner said Friday as he ladled gravy at the Los Angeles Mission. More than 3,000 needy people received meals. Audrey Meadows, Dean Jones, Ray Conniff and Laraine Newman were also on hand. But the attention was clearly on the food, not the famous. "Some people could care less," Selleck said. "It's almost better they don't notice. The purpose of this is not to show what a wonderful human being I am. It's to bring holiday cheer to some less fortunate people."
