Salt Late Mayor Deedee Corradini suggests that raising the licensing fees for gun dealers will cull out some of the part-time and home-based dealers. Look at who is purchasing the guns from these so-called home-based dealers.

Do they have a large clientele? No.Do they move a large volume of guns? No.

Will this curb part of the crime problem that we now have by keeping guns out of the wrong hands? No.

Will this hurt individual people who reside in the state? Yes.

Does Corradini and the other people who support taking the right to bear arms think that this will help? Who does this so-called home-based dealer sell guns to? He sells very few guns. The guns that he does sell are almost all exclusively to people he knows. People he hunts, shoots or works with. In most all cases, he personally knows the individuals that he sells a gun to.

It is not like walking into a store, talking to a clerk who has never seen you before, answering some questions on a piece of paper showing identification and then leaving.

Tell me who the person is that is more likely to recognize the criminal or illegitimate gun buyer.

What I understand Corradini to say is: Let's add more government employees and red tape to the back of the economy and worker who is getting weaker and weaker from the tax burden that he shoulders at this time.
