Sylvia Coleman Porter, 91, of Orem died Wednesday, December 22, 1993 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.

She was born June 12, 1902 in Teasdale, Utah, a daughter of George and Angeline Hunt Coleman. She married Emery Porter February 2, 1935 in Cedar City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died in October, 1980.She loved cooking, sewing, crocheting, the outdoors and gardening. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in all the auxiliaries.

Survivors include her daughter, Georgia of Orem; and many loving, caring nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors. She was preceded by a son, Veon, five sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, at 11 a.m. in the Orem Timp Park 4th Ward, 300 East 955 North, Orem. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 600 East 800 North, Orem, and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the ward chapel.

Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
