Ila Pearl Black Turner, 92, daughter of Edward L. and Pearl Adell Kimball Black, an elect lady born April 18, 1901 in Kanosh, passed away peacefully December 24, 1993.
She was the second in a family of eight children. Ila grew up in Kanosh, attended school in Richfield, Utah, where she met and married Golden Johnston. They had one child, Martell, whose five children and her youngest brother survive her. Ila and Golden were divorced in 1938. After that, she and her sister, Laura, lived together until Laura's passing.She later married Gilvey Turner and had eight special years together before his passing. The last three years of her life were spent at the Orchard Care Center in Orem, Utah, where her beauty and tidiness were the envy of all. She will be sorely missed.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 27, 1993, at 1 p.m., in the Kanosh Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the Kanosh LDS Ward Chapel. Olpin Mortuary, Fillmore-Funeral directors.
