Dorthea Kurz Jarvis, our dear daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away December 24, 1993 after complications from a sudden illness.
A very special and caring lady, she will be missed greatly by all who were blessed with her presence. The life of family gatherings, she will be missed dearly.Born November 6, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Freidrich and Sofia Mindum Kuez. Moved to Salt Lake City in 1940. Graduated from East High School. Worked for Keith O'Brians as a model. Later worked for Dr. Mercer Anderson and Wholesale Stationers. June 1, 1966 she married the love of her life, Bertram Jarvis. Member of the LDS Church.
Survived by her dear mother; brother, Reynold Kurz, wife, Jeanne; husband; children, Koni Henderson Smart; Tom J. Henderson, wife, Jode; Lynette Jarvis Rundel, husband, Sid; James B. Jarvis, wife, Sherri; Joni Jarvis Henion, husband, Jay; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services Wednesday, December 29, 1993 at 2 p.m., Mtn View Memorial Estates Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, where family and friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment at Mtn View Memorial Estates.
