Ralph Ortiz, 86, died December 23, 1993 at home in Salt Lake City.
Born March 18, 1907 in Monterrey, Nuevoleon, Mexico, the son of Esequiel and Josefa Ramiriz Ortiz. Married Rose Espinosa, August 15, 1932 in Fruita, Colorado.Survived by his wife, of Salt Lake City; 11 children, Ralph P. Ortiz, Alice Archibeque, Helen Marquez, Florence Gable, Ruth Middaugh, Edward (Gilbert) Ortiz, Ernest Ortiz, Arthur Ortiz, Rudy Ortiz, Barbara Brown and Lorraine Rodriguez. Also 26 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Louisa, Agnus and Mary.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 715 West 300 North. A Vigil Service will be held Tuesday, 7 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call Tuesday 6-7 p.m. Committal Service Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Ave and `T' Street.
