Ruth Fay Ball Knighton Jackson, age 70, passed away December 26, 1993.

She was born May 28, 1923 in Farmington, Utah, a daughter of George C. and Ruth E. Griffith Ball, Sr. She married Myron J. Knighton April 21, 1939 in Coalville, Utah; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away Feb. 16, 1975. She married William D. Jackson Dec. 15, 1980 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She lived in Bountiful and North Salt Lake; was an active member of the LDS Church, Orchard 10th Ward; served as ordinance worker at the Salt Lake Temple.Surviving are her brother, North Salt Lake; seven sons: Steven Knighton, Larry Knighton, both Salt Lake City; Myron Knighton, Ross Knighton, both West Bountiful; Stan Knighton, Clearfield; Ted Knighton, Dan Knighton, both Woods Cross; two daughters: Betty Fay Brasier, Karen Gillette, both Bountiful; three stepdaughters: Sally Taylor, Kathy Oppermann, both West Valley City; Susie Justice, Salt Lake City; 57 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Don Ball, Farmington; George Ball, Woods Cross; three sisters: Artell O'Keefe, Farmington; LaRue Steed Moore, Kaysville; Doris Ann Mullery, Illinois. She was preceded in death by two children.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 30, 1993, 11 a.m., at the Orchard 10th Ward Chapel, 55 East 350 North, North Salt Lake. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 No. 400 East, and Thursday morning at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
