For a long time, we have looked forward to the Andy Griffith show "Matlock," both because of the "easy-going approach" of Griffith - a "homespun" approach - and the just conclusions and basically honest and moral lessons usually portrayed.

Recently, we resented the contrasted objectives: "LeAnn" stated that if a client lied, she would abandon his defense. But she gave no thought to her sexual involvement with the client. That Channel 4 is hostage to ABC and its programs is a pity - if such is the case - but this Utah station should screen and reject programs that offend the majority opinion of ethics and morals for our families.

We encourage all Utah families to turn off "Matlock" unless it can upgrade its choices of what wrongs are really important.
