Anna Strzeletz Jessen, age 93, passed away December 24, 1993 at a local care center.

Born August 15, 1900 in Friedrichgraedz, Germany, to Wenzel and Karoline Swoboda Strzeletz. Married Jes Peter Jessen, August 3, 1941 in Hanover, Germany. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, December 18, 1946. He died October 17, 1963. Became a member of the LDS Church, November 6, 1925. Spent several years in a Nazi forced labor camp. Moved to Denmark following the war and immigrated to the U.S. shortly thereafter. Active member LDS Church and especially loved to teach children. Taught both Sunday School, Primary and was a Relief Society visiting teacher. She spent many hours doing genealogy and temple work. She worked at the Cottonwood Maternity Hospital, where she assisted in delivering many babies.She is survived by a niece and nephew in Germany.

Funeral services Thursday, 2 p.m., December 30, 1993, Murray 11th Ward, 5750 Nena Way, where friends may call Thursday from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
