Norma Camille Anderson Wrathall died December 25, 1993, in Bountiful, Utah.
Born January 17, 1905, in Grantsville, Utah, to Charles LeRoy and Maggie Woolley Anderson. She married Maurice Y. Wrathall June 11, 1929. Later divorced. Lived in Grantsville until 1949, then briefly in Murray and American Fork before moving to Sunnyvale, California in 1953, returning to Utah in 1977. Taught in the public schools of Utah and California, later becoming a school librarian. She took piano lessons from Frank Asper and organ lessons from Edward Kimball, both Tabernacle organists. She conducted various church choral groups. Her short stories and poetry were published in many periodicals, including the Relief Society Magazine. Later, she wrote stories for children. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Rondo, Milton, and Bryce Anderson, a sister, Rachel A. Frandsen, and a grandson, Kurt Anderson.She is survived by: her sister, Gwenevere A. Stookey, Rush Valley, Utah; her sons, Don M. Wrathall, Las Vegas, Nevada; and Robert L. Wrathall, Bountiful, Utah, daughters, Carolyn W. Anderson, Simi, California; Camille W. Ball, Palo Alto, California; nine grandchildren.
In her memory, the family suggests contributions to the Murray B. Allen Center for the Blind in Salt Lake City, where she spent over 10 years volunteering her time and talents. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 30, at Tate Mortuary in Tooele, where friends may call one hour before services, followed by burial in the Grantsville City Cemetery.
