Mary Moore, loving mother, grandma and Aunt Mary, died after a brief and valiant battle with cancer at the age of 75, on Monday, December 27, 1993, at her home.

She was born April 9, 1918, in Evanston, Wyo.; a daughter of Albert Cornelius and Matilda Brooks. She married LaVaine Eastman on Sept. 3, 1935. They were later divorced. She married Gilbert Moore November 1, 1946, and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 26, 1956. He died February 1, 1990.She had lived in Evanston and Rock Springs, Wyoming, Ogden, Layton, Salt Lake City, San Jose, San Diego and El Cajon, Calif. She had also lived in Riverdale and Roy for the past 15 years.

She always worked hard to help support her family. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. Fishing and traveling were her priority in her retirement years, along with playing games and crocheting.

She served her family and others with love. She was devoted to her family and friends. She gave love and service to all. She was faithful in her temple work, genealogy and loved the members of the Kanesville 2nd Ward. She was a great example of love, kindness and service to the Lord.

She is survived by: her daughter, Mary Ellen (David J.) Wagstaff, Henderson, Nevada; daughter-in-law, Maxine Eastman, Eagle Point, Oregon; son, William "Billy" A. (Suze) Moore, Salt Lake City; daughter, Gilene (David) Thomason, Layton; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; several sisters-in-law; and her sister, Alice (Larry) Calligaro, Rock Springs, Wyo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert, her son, LaVaine "Bud" Eastman, three brothers, Norman Brooks, Albert Brooks and Roy C. Brooks.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 noon at the Kanesville 2nd Ward Chapel, 3939 West 400 South, with Bishop James Hodgson officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., Wednesday, 5 to 7 p.m., and Thursday at the ward chapel from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Salt Lake City, Utah.

The family would like to thank the nurses from Creekside Home Health Care for their love and skills; the good neighbors in South Fork Country Meadows Mobile Home Park and the members of the Kanesville 2nd Ward for their friendship and compassion.
