Dr. Gregory S. Brinton, Utah eye physician and surgeon, received the "Honor Award" from the American Academy of Ophthalmology at the recent annual academy meeting in Chicago.
The award, one of the academy's highest, recognizes Brinton's contribution to the field of ophthalmology in both research and clinical practice. He has published research in surgical and laser techniques for diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments and ocular trauma.Brinton, a specialist in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous, has private practices in Provo and Salt Lake City. He is also a clinical associate professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a member of the Utah Ophthalmological Society, the Retina Society and the Vitreous Society.
