Lillian Lee Kirk LaFon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on December 27, 1993 in Bountiful, Utah, at her home after suffering a stroke on September 17, 1993.
Lillian was born on March 5, 1920, in Newport, Virginia, a daughter of William Everett and Cora Lee Myers Kirk. She married Eugene Hobert LaFon in October, 1939. The marriage was later solemnized in the Washington D.C. Latter-Day Saints Temple.She was a devoted wife and mother and was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Eugene; a son, Eddie (Ruthie), of Charleston, West Virginia; a daughter, Betty (Sterling) VanOrden of Bountiful, Utah; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edna Peterson, Radford, Virginia; Thelma Johnson, Pearisburg, Virginia; Carrie Green, Narrows, Virginia; and one brother, James Everett Kirk of Abingdon, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, four brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral services, Thursday, December 30, 1993 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful 8th Ward Chapel, 1800 East Mueller Park Road. Friends may call Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. at the Lakeview Memorial Estate Mortuary, 1640 East Lakeview Dr. in Bountiful. Interment Lakeview Memorial Estates
