Altha F. Smith, age 93, passed away December 27, 1993 in West Jordan, Utah.
Born September 6, 1900 in Manti, Utah to Peter and Mary Hermansen Fredricksen. Married Wilford R. Smith on November 25, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He preceded her in death.Served in the Relief Society presidency in the Harvard Ward. Loved to quilt and do gardening; her roses were well known in the neighborhood. A very loving person. "Adopted" grandmother to everyone. She lived with her daughter Gloria for the last year and a half.
Survived by daughter: Gloria; three grandchildren: Brent S. Lee, Alan S. (Leslie) Lee and Rita (Randy) Speirs; 13 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 31, 1993 at 12 noon at the Taylor Grove Ward, 1399 West 4800 South. Friends may call Thursday evening at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday one hour prior to services. Funeral Directors: Deseret Mortuary.
