The National Junior College Athletic Association has ordered Dixie College to forfeit five football games in which an ineligible player appeared.

Dino Glover played for Snow College in the 1980s but registered at Dixie as a freshman. A Snow coach questioned Glover's eligibility when he recognized him during a Dixie-Snow game. Glover has left Dixie. The college had appealed an earlier decision of the NJCAA. But the association's executive committee denied the appeal.

That left in place the ruling that Dixie must forfeit its 36-33 win over Eastern Arizona Sept. 11; a 24-7 victory over Scottsdale Sept. 25; a 35-0 rout of Mesa on Oct. 2; a 34-28 triumph over Ricks on Oct. 16, and a 27-26 win over Snow on Oct. 30.

The forfeits give Dixie an overall record of 3-8.

Doug Allred, Dixie College athletic director, said the school would abide by the decision.

"I think it was a very thorough investigation, not only on our part, but on theirs too," Allred said. "We knew up front we had violated the rule. We don't agree how the rule was written . . . but we do value our association with the NJCAA."
